My name is Laurie Schnell and I will be taking over the membership, room rental and CFTC email jobs.
I'm working on sending out reminders to members that have expired memberships and will have this caught up by fall.
PLEASE READ IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP CHANGES BELOW
Effective Sept. 1st there will be a new policy for distribution of event emails through our network:
In an attempt to reduce the volume of emails through our distribution list and provide an accurate reflection of the value that access to this distribution provides the Board has agreed to modify the policy for email distribution. As of September 1, 2009 event emails will only be sent out for members that are Practitioner members or higher.
Below are the membership options and benefits for each, if you have any questions on this please just email me at carefromthecore@gmail.com.
Basic: $10.00
- · Drop in fee of $3 ($5 regular)
- · Eligible to rent rooms
- · Receive membership discounts on Living Water
- · Participate in Practitioner & Product days at an additional cost
This option is great for the person just wanting to get to know what Care From the Core is all about, rent a room once or attend drop-in sessions occasionally.
Practitioner: $100.00
- · All of the above benefits PLUS
- · Send emails through CFTC network *(see email guidelines)
- · Discounted room rental (see rental brochure for exact amounts)
- · Name in practitioner Guide (online and brochure) **
- · Participate in Practitioner & Product days at no additional cost
This option is designed for natural wellness practitioners that realize what Care From the Core can do for you & your business.
** In progress, this has not yet been completed - brochure will be produced once each year, current listings will be on the website
Sustaining Partner: $20/per month or $220 one time payment
- · All of the above benefits PLUS
- · Free entrance to all CFTC sponsored drop-in events
- · Name listed on honour wall at The Center & on website
This option is for those who attend a lot of CFTC events and/or want to show their support in a monetary way for a great organization.
- Access to send emails out through this list are for Members Only (Practitioner & above)
- The intent is for EVENTS as opposed to services.
- Non-CFTC sponsored events, not at our location will be sent out once
- Non-CFTC events, at our location will be sent out twice - announcement & reminder. (We do not automatically resend your message, you need to send us the reminder to be forwarded)
- CFTC sponsored events will be sent at the boards discretion
- General interest & third party notices will not be distributed through this list

How to become a
Member of Care from the Core
Basic M embership is $10
per year. Renewal is done prior to or at the Annual General Meeting,
usually held the third Tuesday in October. You can purchase a membership
at most Care from the Core events, or you can complete a Membership
Form and mail it as per the instructions on the form. You may also
call the office during normal business hours to make arrangements.
Benefits
of being a Member of Care from the Core
- Association with
CFTC allows you to network and to work and to play with like minded
people; and you have the satisfaction of knowing you have joined an
organization that is passionate about bringing people to wellness and
to wholeness, an organization that matches your passions.
- We have a strong,
dedicated and committed Board of Directors with the capacities to move
this organization forward into the future.
- We do not exist
for profit, but to make our information and programs as accessible as
possible.
- As a member of
CFTC you can be invited to be part of our team of facilitators either
in workshops we offer at CFTC or when we take our unique programming
into the community.
- We encourage and
welcome you as a volunteer at our office and/or at the many events and
education seminars we offer. Volunteer hours can serve as credits towards
program participation, helping to make our programs more accessible.
- You have the opportunity
to serve the organization in whatever capacity you desire – committee
work, newsletter, board of directors, fund raising, teaching, mini-treatments,
program planning, hostess, baker, office help, cleanup, cheering us
on from the sidelines, or create your own niche. All are needed.
- You will receive
up to the minute information on happenings and events if you join our
email list.
- Our website is
www.carefromthecore.com – members are invited to be listed in
our resource section free of charge. Other advertising opportunities
are available.
- If a practitioner,
you can become part of our referral service (printed directory) for
complementary/alternative healthcare.
Our
Bylaws Provide that:
1.2.1 Members of
the organization in good standing shall be kept informed of organization
affairs; shall be notified of annual and special meetings; have the
right and responsibility to inform the Board of Directors of matters
of organization concern; and may be delegated or elected to represent
the organization
1.2.2 In addition
to the above, voting members of the organization in good standing are
entitled to vote a annual and special meetings, are eligible for elector
to the Board of Directors; and may be appointed to the Board or organization
committees.
